Streaming music service Spotify has submitted a number of innovations which bring it to the service iTunes in functionality and make them similar. It was explained about new opportunities for representatives of Spotify in the corporate bloge. First, Spotify has opened its own online music store. Users can download bought tracks to their computers. 100 tracks will cost 60 euros and 10 tracks – 10 euros. At the iTunes the price of one track is from 0.69 to 1.29 dollars.
Spotify users are also able to synchronize their music collection between their computer and the iPod. When you connect the player to the PC, Spotify client recognizes iPod as new device and starts syncing.
In addition, free service users have access to the applications for iOS and Android. Previously only the owners of paid accounts obtained such possibility.
Service Spotify was launched in 2006. Now his music catalog accounts than 13 million tracks and about nine million people enjoy Spotify service. This service operates in seven European countries: Britain, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Finland, France and Sweden.
In late March, it became known that five-percent stake in Spotify will be bought by investment fund DST Global-2, founded by Yuri Milner and Alisher Usmanov.
