Ukraine is ready to change the law to allow Norway to GTS

Ukraine is ready to change the law to allow access to Norwegian companies to participate in tenders for the management of the gas transmission system and underground storage facilities. This was stated by Prime Minister Yatsenyuk on Ukrainian-Norwegian Forum in Kiev, on Tuesday, November, 18th.

“If the Norwegian companies, representing the energy sector, are willing to invest in the Ukrainian gas transportation system – that our Parliament is ready to pass a law that will allow not only European, but also Norwegian companies directly investing in the GTS and UGS”, – said Yatsenyuk.

He recalled that Naftogaz Ukraine and Norway Stat Oil successfully cooperate in the field of gas supply.

Ukraine will receive about four billion cubic meters of gas from Norway for 360 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
