Nicholas considered inadequate existing “technology of metals”. Once he got the idea to shoe a flea. Two years ofpreparing, and then he sat down at the microscope. Three months later, when finished, he realized that “found himself” in microminiatures. He quit his job and decided to practice this very difficult and interesting craft seriously. The artist, surfer and self-taught chef Jim Denevan, born in 1961, draws on the sand the most beautiful and ephemeral paintings on the beaches for hours. His geometric designs the artist creates at low tide using conventional wooden stick. Over the past 17 years, Jim has drawn hundreds of unique images around the world. The tide washed them away, now they can be seen only in photographs.

Forty-five American Getty Dalton (Dalton Ghetti), worked as a carpenter, became famous thanks to his unusual hobby. For 25 years, he carves tiny sculptures of slate of the pencils. He tried to experiment with other materials, such as chalk, but still stopped on a slate rod of a simple pencil.

When creating his incredible masterpieces,  Dalton does not use a magnifying glass and works with three major instruments – a blade, sewing needle and a knife. The master works 1-2 hours every night after work. Therefore, the creation of a sculpture takes several months, and the longest time of his work is a sculpture with a pencil and a chain made of a pencil – to create this it took him two and a half years.
