Potential Buyers Are Going To Pay $10 Billion For Twitter

Twitter has got a couple of potential buyers. Negotiations have already begun and the approximate price of the company is already known – that’s about 10.8 billion dollars, as it is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The industry giants Facebook and Google are one of  other potential buyers  who are ready  to buy Twitter.

Vedomosti, citing their sources, report that the negotiations with the two companies and Twitter have failed so far. However, the called sum is extremely remarkable itself. The company’s profit amounted up to $ 45 million in 2010, and the money have been spent on new data centers and extension staff from 100 to 350 people. The Planned profit this year will not exceed 100-110 million dollars.

“Can we consider this price to be a fair one, based on financial performance? – No, but these start-ups have a lot of data about their own customers, and the current social-networks-oriented market will appreciate that “- said Ethan Kurzweil from Bessemer Venture Partners.
