Adobe releases new version of Flash Player

Adobe released an update to the software player Adobe Flash Player, where the company has eliminated the previously found critical vulnerabilities, which hackers have already used in the Internet in conjunction with the software Microsoft Word and Excel. The company acknowledged the fact of vulnerability, and promised to release a fix in a short time.

Let’s recall that the latest update is the second emergency patch for Flash in the last month. The new version of Flash Player 10.2.159.1 is available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris. This list doesn’t include Android, but Flash Player also works this OS. As it was reported in Adobe, the new version of Flash will be released next week.

Also the company promised to patch  Reader software for PDF files next week, as far as there is the vulnerability in Reader, that allows processing of PDF-files embedded in Word or Excel.

In was admitted in Adobe that the latest wave of attacks, related to Flash and PDF, was originated in China and somehow is exploiting Japanese consequences of the disaster on March 11. Initially, all the malicious Word-, Excel-and Flash-files  were written specifically in Chinese, the first attacks are also reported in Asia.
