Enthusiasts have created a page on the Facebook trying to find victims of tornadoes that hit several U.S. states last week, with the aim to return them the documents and personal things lost because of the verse. They post pictures of found things in the hope that someday their owners will be found.
The page called Pictures and Documents found after the April 27, 2011 Tornadoes allows subscribed users to post pictures of things with their email addresses in the hope that the valuable and not-so items can be claimed by their owners. CNN informed about this.
The page was created on Wednesday night. By 17.30 pm on Friday it has collected more than 50 thousand “Likes”, and it has already deployed more than 600 images of found objects, including a baby blanket with Raggedy Ann, and the contract for the mortgage from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama and someone’s ultrasound …
The purpose of this page, according to the author’s description, is simple: “Please post pictures of items you found in the rubble after the tornado on April 27. Also leave a brief description of the found object and your contact information to owners of things were able to reach you. ” Missing things supposedly were simply blown by tornado that went through Alabama and other southern states a week ago, killing more than 270 people and destroying entire towns and surrounding areas.
Page creator, Patty Bullion, said that the inspiration came to her when a tornado literally flew 10 miles from her home in northern Alabama. “When the hurricane went right at us, paper rain began. We were dumped on by parts of the Bible, Psalms. I said then that parts of people’s lives were falling on us from the sky”. Bullion said that on Thursday afternoon she managed to return 13 Things to their owners.

But the page has another goal besides the return of things of their owners. When you look at this pile of unimaginable variety of things, you realize how destructive is the power of the tornado and how it affects people’s lives.
