How to get rid of the cockroaches using home remedy‏?

Destruction of the  cockroaches with a boric acid works on the principle of the “left and never returned” in a case of this acid the cockroaches begin to feel a terrible itching and leave the infected place. Such a treatment of the cockroaches works quite effectively.

Even in the small doses this substance causes severe intoxication for the insects, in the large doses – muscle paralysis and death. That is why the boric acid can be considered truly effective folk remedy for the cockroaches.

To act an acid, it is necessary that the cockroaches must eat it. This is not so simple as you can think, the boric acid for the cockroaches is tasteless and absolutely is not attractive. Therefore, it is traditionally mixed with other products of food and prepare for the insect`s poison baits: a cooked egg`s yolk is mixed with 30-40 grams of the boric acid and from these ingredients the small balls are rolled, then they are laid in the places which are the most likely to appear of the cockroaches.

Another recipe needs to mix in the equal proportions boric acid, sugar and flour, and then the whole mixture is kneaded with a water to obtain a mass with a dough consistency. The finished product is used in the same way as in the previous embodiment.

Sometimes, advising on how to fight with the cockroaches using the folk remedies, “craftsmen” recommend to dilute a boric acid in the water and keep it near the sink from which the cockroaches often drink water, and wipe dry the sink before the  bedtime. Because these insects “desperately” need to drink a water, they are more likely to drink it out of the poison drinkers. You can buy a boric acid powder in 10 gram packing at any pharmacy.

2. The borax. The borax is a sodium salt of the boric acid. For the humans and pets it is harmless, as does its predecessor, but for the cockroaches is just unbearably poisonous.

The recipes for the application of the borax are somewhat different from those of the  boric acid:

At 200 grams of the borax you must take a 60 g of the powdered sugar, 60 grams of the starch and 30 g. Of the vanilla sugar. The last one is needed to give a strong flavor for the bait. The entire mixture is diluted with a water to obtain smelling like  vanilla paste.

There is also the option: preparing the mashed potatoes from the one medium sized potato and from the one boiled egg. Then you must add to this puree 1 tablespoon of the borax.

Such mixtures are used as well as from the boric acid baits, they are arranged in the most frequented places for the insects. After this you will only “collect” the bodies of the dead insects, which tried the poisoned bait.

3. The ammonia. The ammonia does not allow to achieve the destruction of the cockroaches in an apartment, but certainly banish them. It doesn`t even necessarily to have the strong smell in your apartment like you`re in the hospital: it is enough to use just a teaspoon of the ammonia in a bucket of a water to clean the floors, and the  cockroaches do not keep on the outcome to “visit” the neighbors.

The cockroaches have the developed nose which is significantly better than the humans have, and even the trace amounts of the ammonia have the smell, that`s why the cockroaches try to stay away from this place. However, for the protection against the cockroaches by this method you should add the ammonia in the water at each washing the floors.
