Intel Ordered The Development of A New Mobile Operating System

Intel has invested $ 30 million in the creation of multi-platform mobile operating system. Company Kno will develop  this universal platform.

Company Kno, which is engaged in the development of tablet PCs, announced today that in the near future it will receive from the company Intel $ 30 million. Intel, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of processors and chipsets, expects to get its own mobile operating system, using these money.

The developers are going to make the system multi-platform. Applications, that are written for it, you can easily run on other mobile operating systems – Google Android or Windows Phone 7. Applications written for other operating systems should work in the environment Kno.

Now the software platform Kno consumes few resources, but it works very quickly. The platform supports the full support of handwritten text input with its subsequent conversion into printed form. A similar function will be indispensable for tablet PCs users  .

This is not the first investment, which was won by Kno. Founded in 2009, it has managed to master the $ 65 million that were spent on the development and creation two Tablet PCs from scratch, designed specifically for hand-written text input. Both mobile PCs Kno are based on processor NVIDIA Tegra 2.
