Sniper is a hunter, and the hunter has to be invisible. One of the snipers, who is trying to work undisguised, almost immediately becomes a target for the enemy. Positions for the sniper are chosen and equipped literally under the nose of the enemy, often at inconvenient, open and seemingly unsuitable places. Therefore, masking positions must be flawless, have a natural look and not to stand out from the surrounding landscape.

Winter and summer camouflage are different. In winter, it is easier to disguise, because the primary colors in winter are black and white. White, of course, dominates, so the sniper puts on all white. White is the color of the snow so the camouflage cloak should be white and hood as well. Rifle should also be wrapped in something white. An ordinary medical bandage is the best for this purpose. An optical sight and a belt are also wrapped in bandages. Flesh-colored face and hands has idisclosed more than one sniper, so the person must put on a cloth or paper white mask with narrow slits for eyes. These narrow slits play sunscreen role in the day in the bright sun in the white snow. This powerful illumination is literally blinding. Aiming shoot in such conditions is impossible.

In summer, when the ature becomes green, the sniper tries to choose a position in the depth of the green and watch the situation through the gaps between the leaves. Better if it will be 2-3 meters behind the line of small bushes, which creates the “curtain effect”. Sniper will see everything that is done from the outside, and he will be invisible. Flame of the shot will not be visible, and the smoke clears in the bushes. Nothing will come out. You can not shoot too close to the leading edge of the bushes because of the exhaust from the shot the branches will inevitably shake, and it show give the position of the sniper.

Of course, the best place for a sniper’s position is in the shade. But sometimes the sniper chooses the bright place, so bright that it is not seen anything.
