The most miserable people on the Earth. Are you still complaining about your life?

It is obvious that our courts as well as judicial system are not perfect. Sometimes troubles happen due to laws that contain some drawbacks or gaps. Also we should not strike off such thing as human factor which takes place in all aspects of our lives. Moreover sometimes our knowledge and some facts are limited. But taking into account all these things how could such stories happen?

 James Woodard

1. His accusations were rape and murder of his girlfriend. Because some information was hidden from his defence he was sentenced. If these facts were revealed he wouldn’t probably spend 27 years in prison. He was exonerated only thanks to new DNA testing.

Juan Johnson

2. More than 11 years were taken away from the life of this guy, Juan Johnson. He was accused of killing a man outside the night club. The main proof of his crime was a proclamation of three people who said they saw him. It appeared later that the witnesses were forced to give false testimonies by police detective. Juan was released and later received 21 million dollars from the state for this wrong conviction.

Anthony Green

3. This story is about Michael Anthony Green. He got 75 years in prison for kidnapping and rape of a woman. This is appearance of the criminal as it was described: young man, Afro-American and of course matched Anthony as well as huge part of the American youth. He was convicted due to choice from the line-up made by victim. There were no other evidences. He was released 27 years later.

Gary Gauger

4. Gary Gauger had a quiet life but one day when he was sleeping on his property his parents were killed. When police came to him he said that he was asleep at the time of the murder. But then after 21 hours of being questioned he confessed he had killed his parents and that was the only evidence to sentence him to death. Three years later a gang member who was arrested confessed he had killed Gauger parents. After that Gary was released.

Anthony Graves

5. Anthony Graves is one more victim of a system. The only evidence against him was that the murderer of six people Robert Carter fingered him to be his assistant during trial procedure. Even testimonies of three people that provided a foolproof alibi for Anthony didn’t help. He was sentenced to death and spent 18 years in prison. He was released only after retrial.
