Ukrainian actor Ostap Stupka believes that Maidan is a turning point for the country.
“I think it is not only for me the turning point, it is the beginning of a new history. Though perhaps one could do things differently to avoid the annexation of the Crimea and the war in the east of Ukraine, so that people do not die now”, – said he.
According to the actor, if then in Ukraine were resolved internal problems in a different way, then the war will most likely not be.
“If you really want to live in Europe, you could take as the standard of living of some European countries, sow it on our soil, and the seedlings would be. Of course, this is not easy, but it can not continue. I think that it is necessary solve everything peacefully, although it is clear that now the situation is quite complicated, but I want our children to grow up in the peace. What is it? have lived up to the twenty-first century, and the war started?”
According to the actor, a year ago, no one could have imagined that such a confrontation begins.
“Our people are suffering, suffering, and then explodes. That was in 2004, it happened in 2013. When the patience of the people burst, they goes to the Maidan and fighting for their freedom”, – said Stupka.
Now, according to the actor, in any case, it is necessary to carry out reforms in the country to join the EU and NATO.
“I want our country to prosper, to be peace”, – said Stupka.

As one of the brothers Kapranovs – Vitaly said, for them this anniversary means a lot, as well as for those who were on the Maidan from the first to the last day.
“This anniversary makes us a warm feeling. It is still alive. In our life, except Maidan, this year nothing more extraordinary has happened. This is a unique situation where personal life coincides with the life of the country. A fantastic feeling when everyone starts to think so, as you wrote, say, 10 years ago. Of course, the tragedy that happened then, is a different feeling, but what we climbed, the fact that we finally have fulfilled the will of Taras Shevchenko; that, as in the hymn “soul and body we laid out for our freedom” it says a lot,” – said the writer.
In that, shortly after the victory of the Maidan occurred annexation of the Crimea, and then the war broke out in the east of Ukraine, according to Kapranov, no one to blame.

The leader of the group Mad Heads Vadim Krasnooky believes that the anniversary of the Maidan is a kind of symbol.
“Coincidentally, the first and second Maidan took place in the same time. Therefore, in the memories of the events of 2004 and 2013, I have a lot of different thoughts and emotions at once there. I think that it is a symbol not only for me, but and for the Ukrainian people. The symbol of the struggle for their rights, for freedom. Both Maidan were about it”, – said the singer.
According to leader of “Okean Elzy” Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the anniversary of the Maidan is for him the confrontation of the two values.
“November 21 – is the anniversary of the start of a public confrontation between two values: the values of freedom and security values. Such opposition has been hidden for many years, and when the people who choose the value of freedom, began an open process. It seems to me that this is the deep essence of all the events that occur now in Ukraine”, – said Vakarchuk.
Price issue of the struggle, according to the singer, is quite high.
“I hope that the value of freedom will win,” – he said.
If there were mistakes, it is now important not sprinkle ashes and lamenting the failure, it is important, according to the singer, analyze, store and make conclusions that more such mistakes are not repeated.
