Terrorists continue to storm the Donetsk airport – NSDC

Commenting the yesterday information, that the Ukrainian Lieutenant-General Vladimir Askarov and Russian Lieutenant-General Alexander Lentsov agreed to a ceasefire in Donetsk airport, Lysenko said:

“After 52 fire forces ATO occurred over the past day – well, about what arrangements possible to speak. The fire continues. While negotiations the parties”.

According to him, it is expected that negotiations to end the attacks on Donetsk airport and the whole buffer zone, designated by Minsk protocols, continue today.

“These generals have the authority to conduct consultations and negotiations with the parties on a cease-fire. Since the Ukrainian side is consistent and exemplary performs all the agreements that were reached in Minsk, we expect from the other side the same model of execution of all arrangements. First it is necessary to stop the fire. Ukrainian military opened fire only in response”, – he said.

“We expect that the results of the negotiations will be positive, since yesterday, we understand, was the first round of talks. Today, they have to go on. We have to reach a common consensus option that must be agreed upon by all parties. If the rebels cease fire, we begin to the next step of the Minsk agreements – is removal of heavy equipment from the line of demarcation 15 km inland. Since today is the continuation of the negotiations, then, yesterday agreed to continue these consultations. If the results will be – we’ll be sure to tell them”, – he said.

Lysenko could not specify where exactly consult generals – in Ukraine or Russia, but denied about what it happens at the airport:

“For the past day Donetsk airport was fired. It was physically impossible to stay and conduct any negotiations”.

In Donetsk airport last three days of fierce fighting between the Ukrainian military and the pro-Russian terrorists. Adviser of the president of Ukraine and the leader of the volunteer movement “Wings of the Phoenix” Yury Biryukov said about the death in the battle for airport of are 27 military of the Russian special forces.

On Monday in the airport area went heads a joint center for the control and coordination of the ceasefire. Ukrainian side was represented by Lieutenant-General Vladimir Askarov, Russia – Lieutenant-General Alexander Lentsov. Later it became known that in the course of negotiations between the leaders of the joint center of Ukraine and Russia in the region of Donetsk airport fire stopped.
