New Version of Google Translate for iPhone and iPod Touch

Google has produced a version of application Google Translate for the mobile platform iOS. The company blog announces about that. Earlier the owners of iPhone and iPod Touch used the service Translate only through the browser.

Mobile translator Google can translate from one language to another either separate words or the whole phrases. Now the program supports more than 50 languages, including Russian. The vocal input accepts 15 languages. To activate the mode of vocal input  you should only press a microphone icon which is next to the text box.

Google Translate for iPhone is also able to sound the translated words and phrases. This function is accessible for 23 languages. The other feature of the program — possibility of displaying the translated phrases in full-screen mode. It is very convenient when it is necessary to ask a foreigner about something.

Google Translate for iOS can be downloaded free in  App Store. The application works on iPhone and iPod Touch with iOS version 3 or/and later.

The application Google Translate for Android it has been released in January, 2010. Google has added the function of oral speech translation into the program in January, 2011.
