The Alliance sounds more and more concerns about the increased activity of the Russian armed forces in the European borders.
NATO countries are working on different scenarios in Europe due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine. This was announced by Defense Minister of Norway Ine Eriksen Sereyde, made a statement at the end of two-day meeting of defense ministers in Oslo, eight northern European states.

“NATO countries are doing what should do and members of the military and political alliance. We are preparing including those events, which we hope will not happen. Preparing for the worst – said Sereyde. – This is important because we do not want to prevent the possibility of crisis scenarios”.
“However, we must emphasize the fact that our actions are aimed at ensuring the protection of our allies, territorial integrity and independence of our countries, in Russia, are perceived in a completely different way – she said. – Norway contributes to the activities of the alliance, and intently watching actions of its eastern neighbor”.

The minister said that during the meeting, representatives of several countries expressed concern over the increased activity of the Russian armed forces on its border, which they perceive as the “verification own defense.” Norway, in turn, the increase in the Russian military presence in the Arctic, and although the “immediate threat from the Russian side,” according to Sereyde, the Norwegian Defense Ministry does not see the situation “can not be disregarded,” – she said.
