Poroshenko expects positive news from the ATO

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is optimistic about situation in the Donbass.

“I am an optimist. I think we soon expect positive news. After all the steps that have been taken by our partners, they are quite strong”, – he told journalists during a visit to Moldova.

Otherwise, according to the president, the sanctions policy will be continued, “not to harm any of the countries, and to ensure compliance with its obligations, Minsk arrangements”.

He also expressed gratitude to foreign countries for their support and solidarity with Ukraine in the conflict.

“We have a direct military confrontation, including the fate of the regular forces of the Russian Federation. I am grateful to the world, our European partners, representatives of the “Big Seven” in a very strong position and solidarity with Ukraine, which allows us to have at its disposal a huge number of formats: Norman, Geneva, Weimar, Visegrad and other formats that allow different countries to demonstrate their solidarity with Ukraine, to demonstrate its willingness to help Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.
