Facebook has introduced a new service alerts, which should help users avoid transitions to questionable sites. Manage the service rating system will be also launched on Facebook. A new technology was jointly Facebook and Finnish startup Web of Trust. In a joint statement the parties said that the system should have a positive impact on the security of more than 600 million people working in Facebook.
Ratings for the external links on Facebook
In the Web of Trust say that the Facebook problem of online fraud, spam and malicious software is becoming more and more urgent. The new software will recalculate the reputation of about 31 million Web pages and update the rankings every 30 minutes, based on feedback from approximately 20 million users.
With the new users will need to get better the existing scanning systems for security. Previously, Facebook users could rely on manual ratings of links that notag depending on the reputation issued by other network members. The new version is much more automated and can itself lead white and black lists.
