All Doctor Who fans must scream from happiness! What can be better than the restaurant designed in style of your favorite series? Maybe traveling in TARDIS…but, let’s turn to reality.
Doctor Who series
Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television program produced by the BBC. The program depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called “The Doctor”, an extraterrestrial being from the planet Gallifrey. He explores the universe in a time-travelling spaceship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Accompanied by a number of companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes, while working to save civilizations and help people in need.
The restaurant the Pandorica
The restaurant actually called “The Pandorica”. It is the prison for the most dangerous creature in the Doctor Who series. But don’t afraid, this has nothing in common with the restaurant. They only serve delicious food. And the atmosphere of this place makes you feel cosmic. This place is “out of this world”. There are paintings of the characters on the wall, a TARDIS you can walk into (it’s the bathroom), and several other things from the show.
You definitely should visit this unusual place to enjoy this unique experience and taste all kinds of food there. The only Doctor Who themed restaurant in the Hudson Valley with a decor that is not over the top, but filled with subtle references to our favorite show. Here you can enjoy watching Doctor Who whilst indulging in an eclectic menu of intergalactic comfort foods starting with “spoilers” and ending with “sweeties”. Many items on the menu are named for characters (Madame Vastra, Rose) or other Who-related things (fish fingers and custard). The restaurant serves a select variety of wines and beers and an extensive collection of teas. Wonderful British cuisine along with creative specials. The food is unique and all homemade! Such fresh ingredients served piping hot or ice cold.
Every Whovian who finds himself or herself in the Beacon NY area should stop by, even if just for a cuppa.
So, this place definitely worth a visit. And no matter who you are: the Whovian or just an ordinary visitor who just wants to spend time and a have a great dinner.
