New Year 2015 will be special for many families. The main difference between New Year 2015 events this year in Kiev is that they “move” from the Maidan to Sofia and European Squares. Opening the main tree of the country on the European Square will be by circus performances and concerts.
Also during the Christmas and New Year holidays on the territory of St. Sophia will be held Ukrainian competition New Year’s toy, contests “Christmas tree for St. Nicholas”, “Gingerbread House”, a festival of ice sculptures and festival illumination.
Noteworthy that in Sophia Square will be established children’s area and a Christmas nativity scene with live animals. Area well as will be decorated of 13.6 km holiday illuminations.
New Year Fair in Sophia Square will be presented 70 houses, cafes and restaurants. Spirits at the festival, only mulled wine.

New Year 2015: Programme of Celebrations
December 19 at 17.00 at the European Square will be a circus performance, and at 18.00 – opening of the main New Year tree of Ukraine.
From 19.00 to 22.00 will host a gala concert with Symphonic Orchestra “Kyiv Classic”.
December 21 from 11.00 to 15.00 in Sophia Square scheduled race of Saint Nicholas.
From 21.00 to 2.00 on December 31 – January 1 in the square will be held celebrations of Happy New Year 2015.
At 00.03 will be started the contest of young performers “Best Ukrainian New Year song that has not sounded”.
During the New Year celebrations in Kiev metro station “Golden Gate” will work all night.
January 7 in Sophia Square will be held Christmas “Land of Dreams”.
Celebrating the New Year 2015 will be held in Kiev in the national style. New Year tree, which established the Sofia Square will be decorated by houses and pigeons.
In the reserve “Sophia of Kyiv” will be opened Residence of St. Nicholas, the city of ice sculptures and more.
Also, on December 19-21, at the opening of the Residences of St. Nicholas and the main tree, at St. Sophia Square will Floral Festival “Winter Opening Day”.
